Thriftie D's is a family owned business and started from our hearts in 2016. Mother, Son and Daughter came together and began to help others in need. We cherish our communities and would like to see more support for our young adults. We believe that it takes a village to raise a child, which has set our goals and standards high. We have developed multiple Enrichment Programs that are created to help young adults have a better insight in life. We would like young adults to have an opportunity where they can build confidence and have guidance in the directions of their dreams. Our Enrichment programs focus on future building with information on Job placements or trades, Job Training, College Preparation, Scholarships Application process, NCAA Standards (8th grade & Highschool). We except donations and sponsorships for our Enrichment Programs.
Educational Support Program:
Created for young adults whom need tutoring all academic courses, educational planning for NCAA Standards, GPA requirements for D1, D2, D3 colleges or simply additional help. College choice education. Young adults should be at academic requirement and above. It is important for our youth to have the proper guidance in education. We work at your child's learning pace and value each individual.
Career Building Program:
Specializes in job training, job placement, college and trade planning. This program is built to prepare each individual for the working and educational environment in a long term position. Each participant will receive resume building, interview, speech, hygiene, work ethics and problem solving skills.
Work Place Experience:
Work Place Experience for young adults to get hands on training. Positions open are: Sorters, price taggers, inventory counters, picture perfect, staging, onsite calls which entail decorating, moving, event coordinating, tutors, sports training. Each participant will be awarded with an incentive after each shift.
Athletic Sponsorship:
Athletic Sponsorship Program is for children and young adults who are showing interest in Football, Basketball, Baseball, Soccer. We offer assistance for payments, athletic gear, and miscellaneous items.
